Soul Yoga: A Yoga Experience with Live Music Selection by Erica Crystal Jade

Enliven your yoga practice! We'll move through an energizing flow of sun salutations and fun yoga postures and have the chance to creatively explore movement, set to a funky and spirited live music selection by Erica Crystal Jade.  Free for UB members- sign up online to grab your spot. $25 for non-members.

Intro to Yoga - 4- class series
Joe Kaufman cleverly introduces you to the foundations of yoga in this 4-class series.  Saturdays 12 noon at the Grove location.  Starts September 12.  $50 for the session.

For yoga teachers and teachers-in-training who are interested in going beyond the fundamentals of anatomy typically included in a 200-hour teacher training course and in deeply exploring yoga's effects on the physical and subtle bodies.

Yoga Anatomy: Meridians and Meditation

Moving beyond the physical aspects of human anatomy, you will focus on the yoga anatomy of the subtle body and explore the practice of yoga through an understanding of deeper, unseen dimensions of the body. This course provides an explanation of strengthening and harmonizing chi (prana, or life force) and the meridians (channels of chi) within the context of movement and stillness in a yoga practice. Incorporating an understanding of the subtle bodies in yoga instruction can provide students with a deeper, more integrated experience in the practice.
 
You get 40 hours of in-depth, hands-on anatomy training, as well as the theory and practice of teaching yoga - including understanding energy, class sequencing, and adjusting/assisting. The practice of yin yoga is specifically referenced in the course as an illustration of the significant interplay of muscles, joints, and fascia and the deep effects of movement and stillness on the physical and subtle bodies.
